Rules of FEI Canada Referral Program

By participating in this program (the “Program”), each FEI Canada member (“you”) unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by the rules stated below (the “Rules”).  You may, in your sole discretion, opt out of the Program at any time by notifying FEI Canada.  FEI Canada is responsible for the collection, submission and processing of referrals and the overall administration of Program.

Term: The Program begins on December 1, 2025 and ends on April 30, 2026 (the “Term).

Eligibility and Referral: The Program is open to all current members of FEI Canada in good standing. You will receive Rewards (as defined below) for each potential new member you refer to FEI Canada during the Term (a “Referral”) who then become a New Member (as defined below).  In referring a Referral to FEI Canada, you acknowledge that: (a) FEI Canada may accept a referral from any other third party or may seek referrals directly; and (b) FEI Canada is under no obligation to accept any Referral you refer under this Program.  You may not be eligible for a Reward if your Referral has previously had contact with FEI Canada prior to your introduction.  You will not make any representations, warranties or statements to any Referral other than those contained in publicly available marketing material provided by FEI Canada Canada.  You shall comply with all applicable laws in referring a Referral to FEI Canada, including without limitation, all privacy laws and you covenant that you have consent to share personal information (if any) of any Referral with FEI Canada.

Rewards: If FEI Canada accepts your Referral and your Referral becomes a new member by completing the required document and remitting the requisite annual membership fee [include any other requirements before a Reward will be granted] (a “New Member”), FEI Canada will reward you as follows (the “Rewards”):

For each Referral who becomes a New Member, you will receive $100 off your annual renewal fee with FEI Canada.

For the three month period ending on February 28th, 2026 and the two month period following ending April 30, 2026 (each a “Period”), the three FEI Canada members of each Period with the highest number of Referrals who become New Members will receive a $250 gift card. (If you are on of those three FEI members at your request, we may donate the same amount to a registered charity of your choice.) 

The FEI Canada member who referred the highest total number of New Members during the Term (the “Winner”) will receive the following:

FEI Canada will waive the registration fees for the Winner and one of the New Members referred by the Winner (as determined by the Winner) for the 2027 Annual Conference; 

FEI Canada will also provide free hotel accommodation to the Winner to the 2027 Annual Conference in Prince Edward Island (date to be determined).  The Winner will be announced at the 2026 Annual Conference.  At the Winner’s request, they may remain anonymous.

Disclaimer of all Liability: NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY HEREIN, FEI SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO YOU FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING ANY LOST BUSINESS PROFITS OR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR DESTRUCTION OF DATA) ARISING IN CONNECTION WITH THESE RULES AGREEMENT, WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY IS BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE. THIS EXCLUSION SHALL APPLY EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Intellectual Property: All intellectual property used by FEI in connection with the promotion and/or administration of the Program, including, without limitation, all trade-marks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned (or licensed, as the case may be) by FEI Canada and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any such intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

Amendment of Rules and Termination: FEI Canada may amend the Rules and/or terminate this Program at any time without notice or liability to you.

Governing Law: This Program shall be governed by the law of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws applicable therein.

Entire Agreement: The Rules constitute the complete and entire agreement between FEI Canada and you relating to the subject matter hereof. It supersedes all prior proposals, understandings and all other agreements, oral and written, between the parties relating to this subject matter.

Release: By participating in this Program, you agree to release and hold harmless FEI Canada from any liability for any loss or damage of any kind to you or any other person in connection with this Program. In the event of a dispute regarding who referred your Referral to FEI Canada , FEI Canada reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to make the final determination. All FEI Canada decisions are final and binding without any right of further appeal.
